Hello
Like everyone else we were affected by COVID and both lost our jobs which was very down-heartening. After a lot of soul searching we decided we should take stock and look at a different approach to life. In our arsenal we had a camper van and a large house and lots of adultish children. The youngest two children and their partners were living with us rent free. We eventually came to an agreement that made it possible for us to travel and them to still live in the house.
We thank God that none of us or our nearest and dearest had been affected by COVID so we decided to set off on our adventures during mid summer taking all possible precautions to prevent the spread of this awful disease.
The night before our departure the family came over and we all sat in the camper, thankful for the past few months that had kept us all safe and looking forward to all the adventures, the highlights and downfalls that were coming our way. It was with more than a tinge of sadness that we said goodbye to our children and grandchildren knowing it would be months before we saw them again. But added to that was a small surge of exciting for tomorrow and what the unexpected would bring.
